Layover in Johannesburg, South Africa
I was up early this morning heading back to the airport before the sun was up. Africa is huge and I was unable to make it to Botswana today, and instead would have a layover in Johannesburg, South Africa. I was sad to be leaving Uganda as I felt there was more to explore, more people to meet, more adventures to be had. But I also had a lot more ground to cover. South African airways had nice planes with lots of leg room and I was in Johannesburg in no time, staying at the Southern Sun airport hotel. This was a nice hotel with a great wine selection and I was reminded of my wine tasting experience in Stellenbosch, South Africa back in 2009. I used their free wifi to let everyone know I was still alive while I worked my way through their wine list, before heading to bed. Botswana was waiting for me and was now only a day away.
